Legislative Update for week of March 13-17

Posted 9 months ago by Mary Bidgood-Wilson

This week, Senate Finance approved SB 237, the bill to allow telemedicine providers in metropolitan areas to get Medicaid reimbursement. This bill is supported by NHNPA. The bill will be on the floor of the Senate next Thursday. On Wednesday, the Senate Executive Departments Committee will hold a hearing on the amended version of HB 538. This was originally the bill to allow for temporary licensure of people holding professional licenses in other states or countries. NHNPA opposed that. However, the House significantly amended the bill and removed the licensing aspect of it. As the bill currently stands, the bill simply requires state licensing bodies to post reciprocity information on their websites.

Enjoy the your Sunday and Happy Spring !
