The New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner Association is a well-established, non-profit, professional advocacy organization, dedicated to preserving the strength and integrity of advanced practice nursing. We are looking for an individual to serve as our next Executive Director.
As an executive director your role is to promote the mission of NHNPA and to support and draft the policies and work toward accomplishing the goals set by the Executive Committee, to increase membership, and to enhance communication among the membership relative to the mission, goals and activities of NHNPA including e-mail and phone inquiries from APRNs, the Board of Nursing, legislators, stakeholders and the public. Also to coordinate a network of goal-specific NHNPA committees that will work to improve practice and address areas of concern to the general membership, to promote NHNPA as a resource for reliable professional and healthcare industry information by providing professional and health care industry specific information to key state government officials, and to collaborate with other professional health care and consumer organizations which advocate positions consistent with NHNPA.
We welcome candidates who may have a variety of backgrounds, although experience in leadership, advocacy, and healthcare are valued. A great deal of the work can be done from your home office, although you must be close enough to participate in regular engagements in Concord, NH. Hours are flexible, ranging from 5-20 hours per week. The position is considered part-time and is salaried.
