New Executive Director Named

The Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner Association (NHNPA) is pleased to announce that Jennifer Thompson, MS, APRN, will assume the role of Executive Director on June 1, 2018.  Jennifer completed her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of New Hampshire and her Family Nurse Practitioner Post-Master’s Certificate at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Currently, she is a DNP candidate at Rivier University.   Jennifer practices at New England Heart and Vascular Institute in Manchester, NH, specializing in cardiology. She is also Adjunct Faculty in the FNP Program at Rivier University. During the last two years, Jennifer has been a member and Chair of the NHNPA Government Affairs Committee.  Jennifer states that two of her top priorities in this new position will be to continue to expand the NHNPA membership and to further serve as an APRN advocate in Concord and Washington, DC, with the ultimate goal of empowering nurse practitioners as leaders in healthcare. Jennifer will work closely on a transition with the current Executive Director, Mary Bidgood-Wilson, who will be enjoying retirement.  The search committee included Susan Feeney, Kara Doberstein, Evie Stacy, Marilyn Daley, Jillian Belmont, and Allison Davis.
