Empowering Nurse Practitioners as Leaders in Healthcare

Legislative Team Training

Posted 2 months ago by Jennifer Thompson

Do you like health policy?  Are you interested in advocating for NPs and patients in Concord?
NHNPA is forming a team of 10-20 NPs that would be willing to respond to legislative needs - letter writing, attending hearings, testimony, etc...  The committment would be as much or as little as you are able.  We are hoping that by having a large list of NPs that are trained and prepared to participate in legislative activites, when we need someone on short notice, NHNPA will be ready to go.
NHNPA will offer a 3-hour Legislative Boot Camp to best prepare you.  Bob Dunn will provide information on the process, how to sign in, how to give testimony, how to write a letter in support/opposition, and other pertinent information.
The event will be held in Manchester on Monday, 10/22/18, from 9 AM to 12 noon.  You must be an active NHNPA member to attend.  Please email jenniferthompson@nhnpa.net if interested.  Registration will be capped at 20 people, first-come, first-served.
